Amphibian only Aircraft where you retract the wheels before you land Drag male pilot wearing high heels and fishnets whilst flying Gravity A serious visit by the FAA Strut how a pilot walks once they have thier instructors rating Fuel selector deciding whether the aircraft uses JetA1 or Avgas Tie - downs device used to prevent aircraft flying unless someone is aboard. the likelihood of forgetting to remove Tie downs increases proportionately to the strenth of the device. Three point landing ideal landing where 3 parts of the aircraft touch the ground simultaneously. Generally, the wheels are preferred Wheeler Landing landing where the mainwheels touch the ground before the propeller Bounce additional practice landings for extra experience Go-around finding the aircraft is miraculously undamaged, have another go...

Good idea, maybe, we can write an official aricraft dictionnary if we can find a publisher... ;D
Vx = the speed used by the pilot who want to win the "chicken game" against the mountain. Vne = the speed where the wings and the rest of the airplane are no longer required to stay together Va = the speed prescribed when the wheater make the airplane go inverted. Vso / Vfe = the fronteer between flying and falling Vy = I need help there, any idea?

Some other:
V1: the speed after which you don't want anyone in the cockpit to say "o shit".
Cockpit door: a device that when closed, allow pilot to sleep without inducing fear to the passengers. Automatic pilot: a device that will do the pilot job until a pilot is needed. Wing span: length equals to the distance between airport building and random obstacle minus one inch.

Chandelle: Maneuver in which the airplane does a 180-degree climbing turn, while the pilots stomach continues on a more normal ballistic path. Practitioners may be known as Chandeliers.
Helicopter: Ten thousand assorted parts flying in close formation.
Auto-rotation: Emergency maneuver which involves trading airspeed/altitude for rotor rpm, and flaring with a hefty application of collective through the armpit. Done correctly, will not leave a tadpole-shaped hole in the ground.

I just can't stop... ok, last one for today.
Cumulo-Granitus: Special cloud of very high density that you will find hidden inside other clouds. Those are so dense and flying into these might be hazardous. During clear day, those are often refered to as "mountain submit".
Mayday: word that have a special power called "inverted emotion". The more calmly you prononce it, the more people who hear it will think you are in trouble.
Do you guys know what the origin of Mayday? I was told this come from the french word "M'aider" which is pronounced mayday and mean "Help me". I guest a lot of english radio operators were confused when they heard the french pilots crying mayday just before something bad happend.

Some weather ones...
METAR - encoded weather report, the length of which is inversely proportional to the odds said weather being good enough to fly.
TAF - encoded weather forecast produced by a skilled practitioner (in tea-leaf reading).
Depression - the effect a low-pressure weather system has on the pilot's mood.

Aileron - A hinged control surface on the wing that scares the hell out of airline passengers when it moves. Airplane - The infernal machine invented by two bicycle mechanics from Dayton, Ohio and perfected on the sands of the Outer Banks of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Precursor of the Frisbee. Cockpit - 1. A confined space in which two chickens fight each other, especially when they can't find the airport in a rainstorm. 2. Area in which the pilot sits while attempting to figure out where he is. Collision - Unplanned contact between one aircraft and another. As a rule, collisions that result in the creation of several smaller and less airworthy aircraft from the original two are thought to be the most serious. GPS - Going Perfectly Straight Log - A small rectangular notebook used by pilots to record lies. Radar - An extremely realistic type of video game, often found at airports. Players try to send small game-pieces, called "blips," from one side of the screen to the other without colliding with each other. Player with the fewest collisions wins. Roger - The most popular name in radio. Useful Load - Volumetric capacity of the aircraft, without regard to cargo weight. Wilco - Roger's brother, the nerd.

Horizontal Stabilizer . . . flat surface, mainly used to deposit tools and sunglasses
Elevator . . . surface big enough to put both hands on it when pushing the airplane out of the hangar
Aviation Grade Oil . . . just like any other oil but about $100.00 USD more per quart

GPS selective availability - "dang, entered the wrong coordinates".....
Bonding cable wire connected to aircraft when refuelling for the purpose of tripping over. also has cute little metal clip to damage whatever you have connected it to, and a wad of fine wires sticking out to puncture skin.
Torque Wrench a more refined tool for installing spark plugs. looks more professional than tightening them till they go crack, then backing them off half a turn....
aviators breathing oxygen hangover cure. not sure why it is specific to aviators, probably comes with beer, spilt Avgas, mouldy carpet and body odour scent added to make it just like the inside of the plane.

Stall: aircraft maneuver that defines the pilot depending on the altitude he execute. 1- 5000+ feets AGL: pilot not trusted by his instructor. 2- 2000 - 4999 AGL: student pilot exercising. 3- 800 - 1999 AGL: pilot who's starting to have too much trust in his skills 4- 50 - 799 AGL: pilot who's about to know if he made enough 2000-4999 AGL stalls. 5- 1 - 49 AGL: pilot who will have to figure out en excuse for this landing 6- 0 - 1 AGL: could be either 1- lucky pilot if done once, 2- good pilot if repeated 3 times, or 3- WHATAREYOUDOING pilot if executed in heavy cross winds.
Cabin heat: airplane device that provide comfort to pilot who fly in the same region where the airplane was designed. If airplane is used on northern portion of the north hemisphere, this device will produce enough heat to keep the pilot barely alive for the duration of the flight.

Turbine Engine - Device installed in aircraft that turns jet fuel into smoke and noise; also used to run the fan keeping the pilot cool..
Bleed Air Heater - Turbine engine accessory used to increase the oil and exhaust gas temperatures. May provide some incidental heat to the pilot.
Janitrol Heater - Turns jet fuel into smoke and noise and reduces useful load; provides neither heat nor cooling to the pilot.
Aircraft Tool Kit - Bag of tools the engineers considered too rusty to steal and harmless enough to let the pilots play with. Kept aboard by superstitious pilots to ward off snags.
Rotor Brake - Friction device used by pilots to spin a helicopter in a circle on icy pads during shutdown. May also be used to start a fire in flight.
Trim Tab - Protuberance on the trailing edge of an airfoil, adjusted by engineers to modify flight behaviour and pilots to modify engineer behaviour.
Swashplate - Device that converts pilot's control inputs from smooth, deliberate, linear motions to frantic and erratic pitch excursions.
Anti-torque Pedals - Control used to provide the additional power demand required to create an overtorque.
Overtorque - An event caused by sudden changes in the wind and weaknesses in aircraft design.
Pilot's Operating Handbook - Manufacturer's text containing all the reasons why the pilot is at fault. Stored just out of reach of the Pilot. Also known as the "Fright Manual".
Seatbelts - Passenger restraints; installed in such a manner that they give an audible warning to the pilot when left unfastened and hanging out the door.
100 Hour Inspection - Ritual performed by engineers overnight. Results in the exorcism of aircraft gremlins through the application of cabalistic handprints and fresh grease.

You got me started, now you've gotta sit through some more:
Tail Rotor - The whirly bit at the back of the tailboom; used to make small bush pads larger.
Strobe Gear - Divination tool used by engineers in place of lamb's entrails to foretell the results of pitch link and tab adjustments. Not as messy as the old school methods.
Belly Hook - Device mounted to the bottom of a chopper used to deliver the accumulated static charge to ground crew while operating in rain or snow.
Long Line - An extension of the connection between hook and load; used to improve speed and random oscillations of load.
Logging Window - Bubble-type window allowing pilot to increase neck strain while long-lining.
Longine Rescue - Dramatic emergency rescue technique; requires convincing a highly-trained and capable rescuer to take the place of a wrecking ball.
Dope-on-a-rope - See Longline Rescue, wrecking ball.
Bowling for Drillers - Technique for training pilots to longline smoothly, involving drillers lying about weight of longline load that pilot then uses to bowl them over with.
Snag - Entry made in technical logs that may result in the aircraft being grounded. Usually only appears on the last day of a pilot's field tour.
Bambi Bucket - Collapsible bucket slung beneath helicopter; used in forestry firefighting to put muddy water onto firefighters.
Pilot - Ancient Basque word for magician, originally applied to harbour captains who could safely guide visiting vessels past dangers hidden underwater - they learned their trade by hitting everything in the harbour and approaches at least once.
::rofl::
