Hey Leia, round here we are all good weather.. It's getting too boring and too hot for this time of year (unless we start going to the beach)..

So, I'm sending some sunshine your way! Hope you get it!

It's a great idea, yep.

I'm chauffering ( ;)) a former Liberator airgunner who is happy that both seats in my aeroplane face forward, since he was telling me about training in Percival Procters and the pilots flying were fighter crew on rest who used to get bored and start flying aerobatics instead.  Apparently this was NOT much fun when you were facing backwards in the gunners seat!

OK, I'm going down to the Indian Reservation to pay the local Medicine Man to stop his rain dance for tomorrow.  Hope this helps!

Well thank you all for the anti rain dances -- pity I forget to ask for the anti-fog-and-claggy-inversion dances as well  ;)

Nevetheless we made it.

Over a 100 aircraft, over 300 veterans, some beautiful twilrybatics from a Kittyhawk amongst other, fascinating talk from a Vulcan test pilot, nice stooge around the museum, caught up with loads of friends, my guest for the day found three of his former crew there, amazing incredibly stories from these guys I was thoughourly humbled and privlidged to be able to take part and meet them.

Magic day.

6 hours 10 minutes flying all told!  (It was NOT nearby and I needed to detour to a different airfield to pick up my passenger in the first place.)  I am knackered and grinning, and aren't we a bunch of lucky bugger to be able to do this flying stuff... ;D

Photos once I get around to downloading them.

Leia, please excuse this old truck driver, but I do not understand yer version of the english language!   ::loony:: ::loony:: ::loony::

Could you please explain to me in agricultural terms what "knackered and grinning" means?  I'm afraid this is not in common usage in my homeland!   |:)\

Hee.  We need a British slang dictionary in this place!

Knackered means either "extemely tired" or "broken", depending on context.

Derives (rather distressingly!) from "Knackers Yard" where historically you sent your broken down old livestock to be slaughtered.

I was attempting to convery that I was tired but happy...
