Yes, Gil, they're doing it...   ;D

Viking needed at least 20 orders to make it worth it, but they have more than 50, and the next delivery slot is in 2012.   |:)\

They'll have -34 engines and be designated 400 series Twin Otters.

So, Canada is back to producing one of the best airplanes around...!!!   ::bow::    ::bow::

S'Mom, I once read in an old FAA Advisory Circular this particular line, "It is considered poor practice on landing to have to taxi the final three hundred feet to the Runway threshold."

I guess these guys never read that one, huh?   ::thinking:: ::whistle::

Gilly, that's awsome news to hear the that T'wotter may go back into production.  However, I am surprised they are going to consider manufacturing at Victoria.  This means they will have to ferry all parts to the island from the mainland.  You would think the logistics involved in such a venture would suggest a mainland location would be preferable in order to keep costs down.

That's like the old one:  "Do not spin this aircraft.  If the aircraft does enter a spin it will return to earth without further attention on the part of the aeronaut." ...

Small world, thats the same airport/drop zone I did all my flying lessons out of.  Take note, 50 ft. power lines at both ends of the runway...
Its too bad nobody got a video of the Otter taking off axle deep in mud with 22 souls aboard.
