It's an IFR cat (for cat and duck IFR flying!) ;D

DonYan, that is a late model Cessna 152 or 172, maybe one of the last built in the early 1980's or one of the newer C172's that started coming off the line in the late 1990's. The handle on the cowl you are referring to is a handhold for you to balance yourself when you mount the side step on the fuselage to visually check the fuel tanks on top of the wing. Below the cat's legs are an ammeter, and fuel guages for each tank. To the right of those is a combined EGT/CHT guage common to late-model C172's.
I only saw the video once and now I can't seem to get my laptop to download the video again (dammit!), but judging from the sounds emanating on landing rollout I would guess that the nosewheel shimmy-damper was worn out, as there was a lot of noise consistant with a nosewheel shimmy. If I correctly saw a plastic instrument panel then it would place this airplane in the 1980's vintage rather than later models that have metal instrument panels installed. C152's are notorious for quickly wearing out the shimmy dampers so I would guess a 152 of 1981-1983 manufacture.
However, I could be way off base on this. ::loony:: ;D
