Title: A challange for Julio
Post by: Rooster Cruiser on September 25, 2007, 11:24:03 AM
Man, this hits close to home! ::unbelieveable:: ::unbelieveable::
I have worked in the past at a couple of bottom-feeder outfits where the maintenance dept was exactly like this! I'm glad those days are over. ::bow:: ::whistle:: ::drinking::

Me too, Mike. My last trucking company took better care of my truck than my first Freight Dog company took care of my airplane.

And here I thought mom was the only one with that kind of bad memories :( I wonder if Bombardier will use that against SAS when/if they sue for the landinggear-problems on the Dash-8's (a lawsuit has been in the media now, and Bombardier hasn't denied responsibility yet).

RIGHT ON!!! Sounds like we have all had the joy of working for morons who don't believe in maintenance.... there isn't a DAY that I walk up to my airplane, that I am not THANKFUL for fine mechanics and the intelligent managers who insist on the high road, instead of the gutter.
My favorite saying when I put an airplane in the shop, years ago? And got CHEWED for it? And, soon afterward, got FIRED for it?
"Remember: The appearance of what we do, is more important that what we actually do."
WOW....... I guess it's not a good sign when the only way your maintenance program makes any sense, is if you're on LSD or something. ;)
Boy, is life nicer now..... ::bow::
;D

Right on S'mom, This is the first season I've worked fires without a minute of unavailability-------The company I work for now has the best maintenance program I have ever witnessed! Good mechanics are the backbone of aviation |:)\

S-Mom, I'm wondering if we worked for the same company at different times... Man! That sure sounds familiar!
One nice thing about being a one-man flight department is no one questions my maintenance decisions. The only time the boss asked me about something was when I took the airplane out of service to replace the POS composite brakes with Clevelands, and his question was why wasn't it done at annual.
