Spider in the cockpit

I can’t remember exactly but I am pretty sure this round of strips was invented while I was working in Australia as I touched on last week. Are you guys familiar with the Huntsman Spider? They say it’s pretty harmless but just the size of the thing makes me want to react like Chuck. It takes every fiber of my being to remain calm on the outside while I am going “WAAAAA” on the inside, LOL.

By the way! Nobody guessed the title of our new book! I am sure you guys have found that out by now and we have notified the winners. See the explanation on how the winners were chosen in our facebook group. We are still missing Joe Black, so if you read this Joe, please write me an email (mike@chickenwingscomics.com) with you address if you want the free book. Thanks for playing everybody. We saw some very great and creative ideas in the submissions we will definitely take into consideration for the next book.

“Chicken Wings 5 – TURNING CROSSWIND” will be available in our stores starting this weekend May 29th! But if you like, you can pre-order them now HERE to get a head start on the chicken feeding frenzy!

I don’t care much about the size of a spider. I still have a great photo of me with a birdspider on my arm, but some species like the huntsman are fast as lightning and those are the ones that really freak my out. 🙂

Black Widow stings are very unlikely to kill you . . . you just wish you were dead because they hurt so much.
recluse bite? now they can be nasty. folks can either have minor effects, or the flesh might rot right off you. I knew a guy who got it on the finger, and it got swollen so bad they considered splitting the flesh to relieve the pressure. By the way, if one is going to get bit, do it like him, right across from a hospital used to dealing with recluse bites.

    Hiya Peeps,
OK Mike.. what’s wrong with hanging out with a great big, hairy, Huntsman spider who’s enjoying your company? They make great pets(*) 😛

(*) = Disclaimer: Was being sarcastic, definitely not advised trying to keep one as pet.. 😉

Enjoying the comic guys, keep up the fantastic work! 😉

    Cheers & Thranx

PS You might remember me as one of the guys who commented on that pic of a crocodile hanging onto/biting the skid of a chopper you posted over on facebook some time ago.. 😉

No doubt Australian spiders are bigger and more toxic, but Oklahoma has ones that are big enough. Like when there was something crossing the highway in front of me, as big as a gopher – but it had twice as many legs!

Will Chuck, bitten by a spider, become Spiderman? 🙂
