A pilot is never late!
For the four people among you who haven’t seen Lord of the Rings, it’s a quote from the first movie. And I can’t blame Chuck for trying that line. He probably mistook Hans for a Hobbit!

How about a quote from the book? 🙂
@ Fabo: “Do not meddle in the affairs of Air Service owner/managers, for they are not at all subtle and will dock your pay.”
“I’m not late, your clock’s just wrong.”
(Which is usually true – since my “core clock” is radio-synchronised with the NIST clock in CO Springs, and my watches and other clocks are set off of it. Except my computers – which are Internet-synchronized.)
JKelly, that sounds more like Harlan Ellison than Tolkien. Specifically ‘Repent Harlequin Said the Ticktockman’.
Fabo, I agree. When you’ve read the Tolkien set (Hobbit, LotR, Silmarillion, and the smaller works), you both know what’s missing from the movie and what’s going on in the movies. Including Gandalf’s eagle air force… Tom Bombadil… what Saruman did in The Shire before getting knifed in self defence… and all that fun with the big spiders!
