Every year the Reno Air Racing Association puts on a rookie school for pilots who want to enter the Air Races and get their Race Class Pilot Certification.
And of course since Chuck has been dying to enter his Corsair in the Races he has wanted to go there for years. And of course, since his Corsair still isn’t finished, he might be inclined to take another plane to the class. Not sure if you can bring a Cessna but I don’t think Julio wants to take a chance having known Chuck for as long as he has …
Personally, I would love to fly one of those Formula One Class planes one day having been a Formula 1 fan AND a plane enthusiast my whole life. It would be the perfect combination! But I’d probably pee my pants since I’m not used to going that fast after thousands of helicopter flight hours at 100kts or less …
And who wouldn’t want to fly one of those modified WW2 planes??
Have any of you ever sat in on one of those seminars?
One day left until this year’s Reno Air Races officially begin! We wish we could be there! Well, we hope that all those of you who are going will be enjoying it on our behalf too! And be sure to shoot some photos and upload them in our forum or our facebook group!
Well, I’d rather wait a week in Reno than, for example, camp outside of a store for a week for the newest iPhone. Sometimes there is no way around lining up, and sometimes it is really worth it. But I disklike lining up so much that quite often, I rather do without a product or service than to waste my precious time in a line. I guess I’m lucky I wasn’t born in a communist country a few decades ago, because with that attitude, I would probably have starved to death!
In an ideal world, Chicken Wings would have long been turned into a cartoon show on Comedy Central or Fox. Then Mike and I would be filthy rich with our very own Scrooge McDuck like Money Bins, and would be able to tramp from Sun’n'Fun to Oshkosh to Reno and every airshow in between. Alas, we both have to work our butts off to make ends meet, just like everybody else out there. Well, at least we both made it to Oshkosh this year! I sure as heck would love to go and see the air races in Reno one day though too!
Will Chuck ever finish his Corsair? I guess you’ll have to wait for 30 years and see! As you know, good things come to those who wait. I sure hope we’ll still be around then to crack jokes about him!
