One day left until this year’s Reno Air Races officially begin! We wish we could be there! Well, we hope that all those of you who are going will be enjoying it on our behalf too! And be sure to shoot some photos and upload them in our forum or our facebook group!
Well, I’d rather wait a week in Reno than, for example, camp outside of a store for a week for the newest iPhone. Sometimes there is no way around lining up, and sometimes it is really worth it. But I disklike lining up so much that quite often, I rather do without a product or service than to waste my precious time in a line. I guess I’m lucky I wasn’t born in a communist country a few decades ago, because with that attitude, I would probably have starved to death!
In an ideal world, Chicken Wings would have long been turned into a cartoon show on Comedy Central or Fox. Then Mike and I would be filthy rich with our very own Scrooge McDuck like Money Bins, and would be able to tramp from Sun’n'Fun to Oshkosh to Reno and every airshow in between. Alas, we both have to work our butts off to make ends meet, just like everybody else out there. Well, at least we both made it to Oshkosh this year! I sure as heck would love to go and see the air races in Reno one day though too!
Will Chuck ever finish his Corsair? I guess you’ll have to wait for 30 years and see! As you know, good things come to those who wait. I sure hope we’ll still be around then to crack jokes about him!
Behold, our second classic Reno strip. Since it’s Reno time right now (coincidence?) we would like the ones of you who made it out to the races to post some pictures in our forum since we didn’t make it this year. Or at least keep us posted on the races and who is winning. Join us in the forum!
This was our first Reno strip ever, hopefully a classic by now. It was back in the day when we were hardcore aviation only so you would have to know the races and the course to get this one. I really like the artwork though. This was quite a couple of years before Chuck came up with the idea to build his own F-4U Corsair. Maybe in 20 years he’ll have something he can enter the race with, we’ll see…
