For today we’ve dug out another classic from many years ago. I’ve never been on a maintenance flight before, but I assume it is like in many other situations in life. If you pay close attention to detail, strange sounds etc. you will suddenly notice all kind of things that make you wish you had never paid close attention in the first place …
Oh yes, weather, you fickle little drama queen. I wonder if someday we’ll be able to control the weather better than today. I mean we can prevent rain for the olympic games in Beijing, we can make it rain in the desert in Dubai, we can seed or disperse clouds, prevent hail, steer hurricanes… sometimes I think all the weather whims we see today might be unintended side effects of that weather modification. Or maybe it’s just that there’s a camera everywhere to register every hailstone on the planet…
The most common side effect of my sunglasses is that I scratch them or lose them, most of the time both. So I never spend more than ten bucks on them. Maybe the reason I never pay attention and always scratch or lose them is that I never spend more than ten bucks on them! Hm, makes you think!
As you may be able to imagine, this strip was invented while flying through busy airspace wishing I wasn’t. Then I started dreaming how the good ‘ol days must have been like and then, suddenly and for no apparent reason, . . . I thought of Chuck.
This is one of the strips where we wish we had an animation series going here instead of a comic strip!
Never say die, iron eagle
Nothing’s forever, now or ever
Never say die, iron eagle
Never look back, never say die
ah… just tried to find that song on The Internets. Brings back childhood memories!
