It’s about time Chuck bought another part for his Corsair. Although at this pace it will still take a few more weeks than expected.
I personally would like to see him buy a fuselage or at least an engine but we don’t always get to tell him what to do anymore. By now he has completely taken on his own persona and we’re all just along for the ride.
We continue with our “ordering parts motif”. Nice try there, Chuck! You guys were spot on when you guessed that the last strip was based on experience. Actually, I think no matter what your hobby is, there will be a glossy catalogue to flaunt in your face all the great stuff you can’t afford.
We’d like to welcome all the new people who joined our Chicken Wings Group on Facebook recently. Seems we’ve gained critical mass or something! Yay! If we continue to grow at this rate, the whole planet will be in our Facebook group in just roughly 5 million years!
Will Chuck ever finish his Corsair? I guess you’ll have to wait for 30 years and see! As you know, good things come to those who wait. I sure hope we’ll still be around then to crack jokes about him!
Julio can be so mean sometimes. But then, it is important to be realistic with your goals. Has anyone of you folks ever participated in a Red Bull Flugtag?
Also, we would like to remind you that our contest is still going on! Simply tell us what your favorite strip is, post it in our forum or on our facebook page and you will have the chance to win a “Silver Chicken”! You have until Friday to enter!
And another step closer to the completion of the project!
On a completely unrelated note, I would like to announce that we will switch shop systems soon! So the old online shops will be gone and replaced by a new system that is more integrated in our website design and, more importantly, much easier and quicker to handle for the customers. More on that soon!
Also, everybody in the US who thinks about shopping for Christmas presents: Our US Online Shop will be closed down for a couple of weeks during December. Mike will be providing more detailed information shortly, but be sure to place your orders in time!
We have a winner for our photo contest!
Man! This was a tough contest to judge. All weekend we’ve already been racking our brains because there were so many good and funny pics. And then the late entries made it even tougher!
But there can only be one winner for this contest so we chose the photo we thought was fun, exciting, creative, crazy, and cool all in one. It’s the photo posted by CharlieAT. So, congratulations CharlieAt, you won a Silver Chicken!

Actually we liked all his photos so it was even hard to choose from within them. HOWEVER! This doesn’t mean the other weren’t great. Like I said, there were so many awesome ones that deciding this truly gave us a headache! Thank you all for participating and showing off all these great shots. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing all the entries as much as we did.
And we will have another contest very soon so don’t give up if you didn’t win this time.
I just wanted to remind everybody that there are only 2 days left until we pick a winner for the Photo Contest!
Email us, write us, post in the forum, or post on facebook!
Wow! We were really overwhelmed with all the orders during our short celebration sale that we had going from Tuesday to Wednesday! It took me the whole day yesterday to just get all the packages ready. Seems a lot of people got their Christmas shopping done early!
And thanks to everybody for your messages and congratulations! Here’s to the next ten years!
We know building a house from the ground up works but will it work for Chucks Corsair?
Happy weekend everybody! Now go home and find more pictures to post for our photo contest. You have only nine days left! Our Silver Chicken is disappearing from our safe very rapidly by the way, so if you were planning on getting one, don’t wait too long. They will not be mass produced!
This is a bit of a travel back in time, because this strip is one of the first ones we came up with and was published in our first book. I think you can see how my drawing style has changed (and as I hope, improved) over the years. It’s the logical follow up after last Tuesday’s strip though.
On another note: A reader recently pointed out to us that it’s not “F4-U Corsair”, but “F4U Corsair”. We were shocked to find out he was right! We’ve been writing the name of Chuck’s favorite airplane wrong for all these years! Actually, we’re surprised that nobody has noticed this before, because usually we get most of our mistakes or inaccuracies pointed out by readers.
Well, I’ve changed it in this strip, but I don’t know if it will be possible to retroactively repair all the other strips we had so far. Certainly not the ones in our books!
