Now here is another strip that was not invented. Everything happened exactly the way we drew it, except that the players were different. Last year at Oshkosh my “chick” was lining up for the Porta Potty when a guy came out with his hands all blue. His words were exactly the same we used for Chuck. The Jack Handey reference we thought of later when she told me the story and I said, “Do you remember the Jack Handey bit about the lava?” We both said simultaneously “If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let them go. Cause man, they’re gone.”
Today is our last day at Oshkosh! If you haven’t seen us yet, make sure to drop by at our last official appearance at the EAA’s Author’s Corner, today, Saturday from 1:30 AM to 12:30 PM!

While I admit that camping has its charms, I am not a big fan of camping in masses. But that might be because my only mass-camping experiences are from music festivals, where the shower and toilet facilities were mediocre at best and where drunk bellowing people wouldn’t really enhance the sleeping experience.
I’m sure it’s quite different here. So, all of you who do or did camp here, what is Oshkosh like at night?
And although we’ve already been around here for a couple of days, today is our first official appearance at the EAA author’s corner! Check it out! You can meet us at the following times:

… and we’ll probably be hanging around a bit longer after that. Looking forward to meet you in person!
Today will be our first day at Oshkosh! At least I have the advantage to have seen about 5% of what this show has to offer last year but for Stefan today will be like drinking from a firehose! It’s an expression our forum friend “Turbomallard” used for my first time, and boy was he right!
Maybe we run into a real Chuck (there might be many there) and maybe we’ll even be wearing a red “Roost-Air” hat! Look for us! And to celebrate our first day at OSH and the release of our book, we decided to do a cameo in our own strip. This strip was a lot of fun to make!

In this strip, Chuck and Julio unknowingly stumbled into Oshkosh’s “Piper Cub – Fields of Yellow” event. (Check out the website!)
What they don’t know is that Piper Cub owners have been getting organized for many months to turn the sky yellow at AirVenture 2012 to celebrate this awesome Piper type’s 75 year anniversary. We will try to see them as well and tweet you the exact times of when and where we’ll be!
As some of you also commented on our last strip, I hope we will end up at the right Oshkosh too! But Mike was already there once, so I bet he knows the way. For me, it’s going to be my first time in that general area of the States. Usually I go visit Mike on the west coast and only maybe transfer in Chicago. I hear Chicago is a beautiful city (I’ll stay there one night), so I’m really looking forward to this trip!
Chuck and Julio are going to Oshkosh for the first time in their life! Well, Oshkosh, Nebraska…
Hopefully they’ll make it in time for Oshkosh, Wisconsin and AirVenture 2012. Find out on Thursday!
Also, Mike and Stefan will be going to Oshkosh together for the first time in their life! Our official book signing dates and times through EAA’s “Author’s Corner” are on Thursday the 26th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and on Friday the 27th from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
Of course we’ll try to also hang out on Wednesday and Saturday as well to meet you guys. We will give you those specific times via tweet and/or facebook. But if you want a guaranteed meeting with us please stick to the dates above. We are really excited to meet as many of you as we can!

It’s funny how many people suggested a tent when we posted our last strip. Seems your thought processes are not very much unlike Chuck’s!
