Check it out! Johann, a fan of ours created a flight sim version of Roost Air’s dark red Twin Otter for FSX! He made it a bit more colorful than the original, but otherwise it looks really authentic! So, if anyone of you wants to ride the same ride as Chuck, you can download it here from avsim.net. You need to be registered (free) to download the file.

The Sikorsky LegacyI just received a book in the mail about Igor Sikorsky and the history of the helicopter which is already really cool. Those of you who know about helicopter history may know Igor was kind of a big deal in the helicopter business. But what makes it even cooler is when you open it up, it’s signed by the author Sergei Sikorsky, Igors oldest son. You can imagine that this is kind of a big deal for me. BUT what makes it even more awesomer is that he actually is a Chicken Wings fan!

This book will go on a special shelf and will probably be sealed!

The Sikorsky Legacy

A big THANKS to everybody who took the time to stop by and see me at Oshkosh. Airventure is a huge show and has so much stuff to see that I really appreciate making time for a few minutes to chat with us!

I will be posting as many pics as I can in the forum under the Oshkosh 2011 thread but give me a few days to get them organized.

Please post lots of comments and if you haven’t signed up for the forum by now do so today!

As we already announce before, I will be at the Oshkosh AirVenture from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st. The easiest way to meet me will be at the authors’ corner when I am supposed to sign books (hopefully I’ll get a few signed with all the “conversing” that will commence when pilots get together).

The authors corner is in the EAA warehouse (which is airconditioned btw !!) pretty close to the Conoco Phillips Plaza formerly known as the Aeroshell Square for all you die-hards (big thanks to Turbomallard for helping me figuring all this out).

The “feature times” where I will be at the signing tables for sure are Friday 0930-1030, Saturday 1330-1430, and Sunday 1030-1130. I’ll try to get there early and stay a little longer however for some more chatting and hangar flying. The assigned table is “Authors Corner 1 J12” (but we’re not even sure what that means yet, I hope we can figure this out before Friday). Follow us on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates and changes!

But I’d love to meet as many of you as I can and maybe next year we will bring Stefan as well.

SEE YOU THERE!!
