Oh yes, weather, you fickle little drama queen. I wonder if someday we’ll be able to control the weather better than today. I mean we can prevent rain for the olympic games in Beijing, we can make it rain in the desert in Dubai, we can seed or disperse clouds, prevent hail, steer hurricanes… sometimes I think all the weather whims we see today might be unintended side effects of that weather modification. Or maybe it’s just that there’s a camera everywhere to register every hailstone on the planet…
Oh, definitely, controlling the would be something awesome. We wouldn’t have those severe rains and floods in Australia or our landslides in Rio. Yes, I agree with you Stef, now we’re paying the price for all the unbalance we’ve caused to our planet.

Funny you should write that! I just stumbled across this article here: Thai rain making comes to Queensland. So it’s not that we can’t control the weather and it would be nice if we could. I think the problem is that we already do it too much (or dabble in it without understanding the consequences). And a happy rest of the New Year to you too!
