Pilot vs. mechanic preflight
This strip is from our third book, and got us quite a bit of positive feedback! It’s one of our own personal favorites too, because it kinda sums up the whole relationship between mechanics and pilots in one strip.

This very well might be your best ever….sums it up perfectly!!!
Was Chuck the pilot of that Tri Motor that tried to take off with a Gust Lock still in?
Impressive crash footage..
very confusing to be a pilot AND a mechanic
You would think that pilots, who would suffer the most Ill effects should anything mechanical/electrical fail in-flight, would be *at least* as careful as the mechanics/technicians when it comes to pre-flighting their ride.
Well, I know a pilot who once tried to take-off without removing the air intake’s cover. And at the flightclub where I am training, every student pilot has tried to take off with the pitot tube’s cover on at least once. But the icing on the cake was when I heard our mechanic complain that “pilots don’t know how to really start up an engine”.
Nice strip, by the way!
Yeah, “Hit the tyre, light the fire!” but NEVER forget to first piss behind the left wheel..
Btw: don’t piss under a fillercap, overflow or fueldrain. Someone might get nervous. The only airplanes that intend to leak are SR71 Blackbirds and I doubt that’s the plane you’re going to fly.
Then after you run a complete pre-flight check and have examined absolutely everything… the meeting you were scheduled to attend has already ended. :}
