Isn’t it amazing how the gut literally functions as a second brain sometimes? I can usually trust my gut, although I wonder how to distinguish between gut feelings and subconciousness, or if there’s a difference in the first place. And then there’s the problem with the arrogance of the conscious brain, who more than once in my life has overruled my gut feeling and turned out to be wrong.

The gut may or may not be wrong.
But, there’s this little voice in the lower right quadrant of my brain, right next to the BS meter (which runs from “zero,” through “Richard Nixon,” and tops out up around “Barack Obama…”) that’s NEVER wrong! I’ve lost count of how many times listening to that little voice has saved my life…
Never fly,
after you eaten thai…
Sounds like good advice to me!
This definitely one of those “not invented” strips. Having spent all my spring/summer/fall on the road in the last 10 years, I’ve had that “gut feeling” before a flight before, sometimes running out into the woods to fix it….
