Let’s fly!

Oh, which pilot hasn’t been there at least once in their flying career? I have certainly learned my lessons and there is a good video online about the girl in the back seat puking as the two guys up front are putting the plane into a zero-G nosedive. They also learned their lesson I am sure!

This also is the perfect strip to announce I’ll be at the “Planes of Fame” airshow in Chino on Sunday the 6th! I’ll be hanging out and watching our buddy “Rob, the Tumbling Bear” fly his aerobatics routine.

Aerobatics are pretty much the only thing that gets me sick. I can do boats, planes, helicopters, rollercoasters… So I am always really speechless when I watch him fly!

Also, when it comes to warbirds, Chino is one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
Come see us at the show!

remembers me on my first flight in a small airplane – the pilot mentioned a parable and I didn’t believe him – but I really liked it so im pretty sure to make my pilots license in some time…

Rule 1: Never EVER think you can open the window of a 172 and puke out of it in flight
Rule 2: If attempted aforementioned puke will cover the rear window, seat, carpet and pax (even a small amount will spray nicely)
Rule 3: You hurl it, you clean it.
Rule 4: Coffee grounds rubbed into the carpet help remove the smell.
I know all of this because…erm… a “friend” of mine told me about it. Allegedly. (damn those high G turns under the hood on a hot sunny day…so I am told.) Wish I could go to Pof F and hate to say it but Dux is indeed the cream for warbirds…planes you never get to see here in the US. Rumo(u)r has it that it one time the sun came out….

Warbird Ali, sounds like good advice 😀

Every time I go to Duxford, Warbird it has always been good weather, and I’ve been going for the past three years. (have photos in the forum to prove it lol)

@Oddball: I know, when the sun comes out you can hear the camera shutters going crazy! I went when I was a teenager before I moved to the US so I get to see it vicariously through photos (especially Niel Higgs’) and if it isn’t cloudy behind the plane then the description of the photo starts with “once the rain stopped…”. Grew up in Manchester so I am used to watching airshows in a rain poncho (Kagouls I think back then?) 😉
