Hey there people, check out what we found in our inbox the other day! A reader of ours, 13 year old Roos from the Netherlands drew some fan art for us. One piece is a fusion of the cartoon series Samurai Jack and Chicken Wings, featuring Julio as a futuristic hero, and the other one is a rendering of Chuck and Julio as toddlers.
What do you think? Not bad, huh? Actually, her drawing style looks a lot like my own when I was her age. So maybe young Roos will also turn out to be a comic artist at some point!

With this November being our last month of celebrating 10 years of Chicken Wings, it’s time for one last anniversary contest!
As price for the winner we will give out one of our last remaining “Silver Chickens”. And this time we will also have a runner-up, or second winner, or whatever you want to call it, who will receive either a copy of
our new book or a t-shirt of his or her choosing should he or she already have book number 4.
Here is what the new contest is all about, it’s pretty simple:

As you may know, our anniversary year is drawing to a close. And with it, the “Silver Eagles” will disappear from our online stores.
Since the “Silver Chicken” was minted as a very small run we have very few coins left. So make sure you get them now! They’re a great Christmas Gift as well.
Even though Silver has dipped again recently last week (it’s already on the way back up, btw) the price of Silver is still up by 5 dollars as compared to last year when we came out with the coin. However, we have kept the price the same and this coin contains a full troy ounce of silver!

New iPhone App
For the Apple disciples amongst our fans, we have just added our latest book, “Chicken Wings 4 – Gold Rush” to our list of titles available for your iPhone, iPhone Retina and iPod Touch!
The graphics are crisp and high-res so you didn’t spend your money on that new iPhone for nothing! Newer high-res versions of our existing iPhone books are also in the making, so stay tuned for that!

Also, we converted this latest masterpiece of ours and the one before that into eBooks, which you can find at Amazon, by clicking on the covers underneath. It’s our first dabbling in eBook publishing and we’re quite happy with the results! The books are optimized for Kindle Fire, but can be read by most eBook readers. Obviously, the reading pleasure depends a bit if your reader has a color screen or not. Check them out!
The day has finally come!! Today is the official release date for our new book. We will ship all of the preordered copies today and process all new incoming orders as swiftly as possible!

Okay, it’s on! While we are officially releasing our new book “Chicken Wings 4 – Gold Rush” in Oshkosh, we have decided to start selling and shipping them in our two webshops a week earlier. On Tuesday, July 17, to be precise! But it gets even better:
You can preorder your copy as of now, and the first twenty orders in each shop will receive a 20% discount!
Choose from one of our Online Shops:

Online Shop USA for orders from the US and the rest of the world.
Important: In order to receive this discount, you have to enter the
promo code “BOOK4″.
If you enter the code and the shop system doesn’t give you a discount, it means you were too late.
All orders that include a copy of our new book that come in within the next two weeks will
be treated as preorders and will be shipped on July 17th.

Well, the books are starting to trickle in and we are getting things ready and organized for the big release. Of course, we can’t wait to give you the new book to see what you guys think about it so we thought we will raffle off two advance copies.

As promised, we are revealing the cover of our newest book today! Tadaa!
The name is “Chicken Wings 4 – Gold Rush” and we’re really proud about this book! Actually, we thought the last one was pretty much perfect when it came to colors and printing and binding quality, so we tried to make this one an exact copy. The big, official release will happen in Oshkosh this year. So, if you’re going to come to the EAA authors corner, we will be hanging out there quite a lot!
A week before Oshkosh, starting at around July 15th, you will be able to order it exclusively in our online shops. And after Oshkosh, it will be available in most well-sorted pilot shops around the world.
We’re really excited about this and are looking forward to how you all will like it!
Guess the cover contest.
Last but not least, we would like ot announce the winner of our “guess the cover contest”. This time we didn’t have to decide by the roll of the die, but it still wasn’t as easy as we thought. We have come to the conclusion that “Jupiter” from our forum has come closest to the actual motif with his guess “Julio holding Chuck out of the side door of the Roost Air Twin Otter in mid-air”.
