Aviation History’s little known Facts!

Hi Everybody!
I apologize for my absence from this site lately. Fire season brought me all the way up to Alaska this year. And wouldn’t you know it; there is very little internet access the closer you get to the Arctic Circle.

But now I am back in action and working on many more projects (again) with Stefan. We receive many funny emails every day and people forward us all kinds of pics, slideshows, movies, youtube links, and more to inspire us and because they know we like to laugh.
But somehow, it never dawned on us to make our own slide show….

….until just now!

Our series “Moments in Aviation History” has been on the drawing boards for months now and isn’t close to being done by a long shot but we figured we’ll show you a little preview in the form of a slide show. Since our animation projects all seem to take longer than expected we really wanted to get this out to all of you. I always laugh when I see the “Moments” series and I really want everybody to laugh with me (not “at” me).
So here you go, just click here to download, and send this to everybody you know and needs a laugh with his Monday Morning Coffee!

    Hiya Guys,

    Great slideshow !

  2. Julien says:

Great slideshow! Two remarks: it is unlikely that Orville and Wilbur’s dad was having a nap nearby since the family lived in Indiana and the first flight took place in North Carolina. Good joke though. And in the slideset Apollo 11 reads like “Apollo II”, which is confusing since it may be read as Roman numerals. Sorry for being such a stickler, keep them great strips coming!

OMG, you make me burst into laugh with this one, especially the Charles Lindbergh’s (almost) flawless preparation… Two thumbs up!

  4. Dodgy Geezer says:

Why do you claim that Lindbergh made the first non-stop Atlantic crossing in 1927, when British aviators Alcock and Brown made the first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919?

Whoopsie daisy! Sorry about that! We’ll forward that issue to our historical research team…

  6. Fire Guy says:

Yes, and why did you claim that Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen was a chicken?
