Have you guys seen or read the news about which emotional support animal will be allowed on a specific airline lately? Apparently Southwest Airlines started restricting them to one cat, dog, or miniature horse only. With news like these, our comics pretty much write themselves.
It seems we have yet found another way to abuse an originally genuine system designed to help people in need, much like unemployment benefits and food stamps, in order to bring any pet we want on the aircraft. I am all for service animals being allowed on airplanes but I will not be happy with a support Iguana or Peacock sitting in the seat right next to me. Although I have to admit having a Koala in the middle seat instead of the usual large sweaty cowboy wearing a gigantic hat would be kind of cute. As long as it’s a female …

What your thoughts on this? Have you guys seen anything other than a cat or dog on a flight before?

Also … miniature horse? Who decided on the horse? I think that’s hilarious …
