A tempting offer
We’re at an impasse it seems. Is Chuck going to build something he will actually be able to fly sooner or later, will he finish his Corsair first, or will he end up with two planes in the early building stages finishing none of them? I actually know quite a few guys who have been working on their planes as long if not longer than Chuck …
It is hard to say at this point if he is actually going to commit to this new plan of buying another plane, but lets just say he is serious: Would you guys rather see Chuck finish his Corsair, or build a more “practical” plane?? (as you can tell I am using the term “practical” very loosely here, since “practical” and “plane” is kind of an oxymoron).
Lets hear some opinions!
Let’s see Chuck finish a project, doesn’t matter which one.
Helicycle
Scorpion
Mosquito
BTW, did you know that on Vortech’s site, you can find people selling completed Scorpions for less then the price of a base model Kia Soul?
If Chuck is to finish a project he will have to be so passionate about it he can work through the tedious things were is seems his project is going backwards. So passionate that even ADHD Chuck isn’t going to get bored. I think Chuck would get the corsair done if he sticks with it. An RV would probably lose his interest sooner rather than later.
Isn’t the real oxymoron “plane” and “Chuck”?
This retard wouldn’t finish a balsa wood glider kit.
Maybe he’ll finish the RV with Corsair parts added…
There’s an advantage to the RV – Chuck might be able to fly it without killing anyone, especially himself. OTOH, with the Corsair he can’t invite anyone else to ride along.
I think you guys are being a bit unfair to Chuck. He isn’t THAT bad of a pilot. Sure he does enough damage to keep Julio occupied more than full time, but apparently that same cessna keeps on flying (as do the Hughes and the TwOtter) without being replaced and enough to keep RoostAir just barely afloat. So he never does enough damage to cause a write-off. It’s dings and scratches mostly.
Who knows, maybe finishing the Corsair will make Chuck a better pilot once he realizes how much work goes into fixing the damage wingtip on a Corsair
Maybe get a Bearhawk instead…not a “speed demon” (relatively) like a RV, but practical.
But then, we know Chuck isn’t very practical….
I also thought a few comments were a little harsh on Chuck. He has finished plenty of things like . . . . uhm . . .
well, you get my point, I hope.
And ThisGuy is right, he rarely ever completely totals something. What I like most about Chuck is his constant positive attitude and his enthusiasm about everything aviation. You don’t really see that every day working in commercial aviation like I do. No matter what happens to him throughout the day, he is always ready for a new adventure the next morning.
Please finish that corsair!!!
Is it a Corsair or Curse air?
