Fan art from the Netherlands
Hey there people, check out what we found in our inbox the other day! A reader of ours, 13 year old Roos from the Netherlands drew some fan art for us. One piece is a fusion of the cartoon series Samurai Jack and Chicken Wings, featuring Julio as a futuristic hero, and the other one is a rendering of Chuck and Julio as toddlers.
What do you think? Not bad, huh? Actually, her drawing style looks a lot like my own when I was her age. So maybe young Roos will also turn out to be a comic artist at some point!
Nice… Just one thing, in The Netherlands “Roos” is usually a girls name 😉 🙂
Rgrds,
Another fan from the Netherlands 🙂
@Rick: Oops!! I stand corrected! Thanks for pointing that out… I changed “his” to “her”… Seems to me that was a combination of the “everybody on the internet is male” fallacy and the (wrong) assumption that kids who like comics, airplanes and samurais must me boys.
Haha, glad I could help 🙂
It’s comparable to the English “Rose” and of course the Rose flower translated to Dutch is “Roos” 🙂
That is amazing. Roos has a real talent. I love the expression on the horse too! I wish I could draw like that.
Hi! Indeed Roos has great potential! I’m not but 3 years older than Roos here, but here is some fan art by me. http://redthedog.deviantart.com/art/Roost-Air-Chuck-364936050?q=gallery%3Aredthedog&qo=0
Thanks for the wonderful comics! I thoroughly enjoy them! 😀
Very nice, Amy! I don’t know why you ended up with Mike’s Avatar, but I really like the drawing you did there!!
I don’t know why either… And I don’t know how to fix it…
Oh well… Yay! I’m glad you like it! 🙂
