Glasses and carrots
Around here it hasn’t snowed at all yet, this year. And when I say ‘this year’, I mean since last summer, of course. I can’t say ‘this winter’ since it technically isn’t winter yet.
Anyway, usually we get our first snow around November, which typically doesn’t last until Christmas. I wouldn’t really care too much for snow, if I wouldn’t love to go skiing. And although it would be enough for me if it started snowing a week before I go skiing and melted away one day afterwards, I see the necessity of having long periods of snow, so not everybody goes skiing at the same time as I do. Also, it’d be nice to have white Christmas again. Haven’t had that for a long, long time.
When I was a kid, we lived in Germany and later Missouri (father was in USAF). Both of those places always had a white Christmas. Now I’ve been living in SC, and for 40 years no white Christmas since our snows usually hit in January or February.
Yeah, I still miss a white Christmas…
@RG: Never mind, statistically there’s only a 10% chance for a white christmas here in Germany. That’s not an effect of global warming, it has been like this for a looooong time. Btw, I would swap with you being in SC this time of year ANY TIME π
@TheStrassers: Keep up your great work – you’re making my day again and again and again… π
So thatβs where my carrot went! Sorry Sally, but when it comes to carrots, horses take presence. It’s not chicken feed you know!
